The signup process is confirmation-based, which means you'll need a working Email (sorry -- seems like a good idea at this point in time, too many assholes floating around the INTARWEBZ).

I know that the layout/colour scheme was a concern, so I did my best to make a pseudo-replacement that went along with the same style as this board (I like to call it a "halloween" theme, but I've labelled it "old nesdev (wwwthreads)" on the new/test forum). I'm honestly not very good when it comes to working with colours in phpbb, as everything is ambiguous as hell. The default colour theme is still "SubSilver", which is the default blue-on-silver theme -- pick the other during sign-up if you want.

Memblers (or anyone else he sees fit to do so) can tinker around with the colour settings for awhile, and get them to be nice. The form buttons are somewhat fucked-up (colour-wise), and some of the text input boxes use a light gray for text instead of something more legible (black on white would be good).

Anyways, check it out and see what you think. Likely going the route Fx3 mentioned (starting a new board from scratch) will be what happens, assuming Memblers approves.
