I need to know a few more things. The first is this: Which traces have to be re-routed, and from what to what? Which traces do I cut?

Secondly, I need to know this: My friend, MegaMan, split the .nes file for the KNT game using SNEStool(compatible with both NES and SNES), and we got 2 files (file extensions ".1" and ".2") of 129K each(which I can only assume are the said 128K PRG and 128K CHR), but we also got a third 9K file. What is it and is it even needed? Is the extra 1K in the other 2 files going to make any difference? And which file corresponds to which ROM?(.1 to PRG and .2 to CHR, or vice versa?

I know I've been asking a lot, and not givng back much to the board, but I am new to the scene of modifying NES carts and systems, as well as uploading files to said carts. I don't know much yet. :P. I'll contribute what I can.
