SubjectNote for Memblers new

In a post (which I now can't find -- argh!) somewhere on this forum, probably in this particular section, you (pretty sure it was you) mentioned wanting to know the type-of connector the Famicom had for it's external port.

I've a working Famicom (as well as a FDS, although I'm *STILL* trying to find an AC adapter for it), hence my inquiry.

Thanks man. :-) BTW, check your Email.

First post in the NES-to-PC thread.

I took a pic the port on my Famicom AV:

Looks like DB15, the same connector a Mac monitor used in the pre-iMac days.

...and the same connector a PC joystick uses (well, except that it's the wrong 'gender')...

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.

Where'd you manage to pick up one of the AV units? eBay?

*sighs* Pain in the fucking ass to find nowadays. There's **ONE** on eBay that I found, combination with a bunch of other crap (including a non-pictured FDS), for around US$230. Absolutely out-fucking-rageous.

Cool, thanks everyone. Looks like my serial cable then should be able to Famicom too.

I have a Famicom clone, still needs repaired though, but both of it's controller ports are also male DB15.
