Any suggestions on where to get these EPROM chips and what to use to burn them or whatever? Are these re-usable? (I'm guessing that they're not.) Is there something that is re-usable? Like FlashROM or something?

Also, I've been to that devcart page and it really doesn't help me. I need something that's...for more of a beginner. I really haven't done ANY hardware things like this before. I might be able to program with the best of them, but making hardware I have no experience with.

Say I want to make something that I could keep re-using for whatever my particular current project is. It'd need a good amount of space on it, and likely some battery backed memory.
