For a while I've been wanting to create a page that features new music written for the NES or in an NES style, and soon I will be working on this. I have about, oh, 5 or 6 NES-style songs in .IT by other musicians so far, a short .XM or 2 by me, and I will also be putting any new NSF's released since the Nintendo was discontinued around 1993 on the site as well.

If anyone has any music that fits into this category, let me know about it. The same thing goes for any remixes of NES songs, the music page could always use a contribution.

The main thing that distracted my from updating the site was the y2kode competition. I realize it was a dumb thing to do, because now I'm swamped with stuff to add! (not that I don't enjoy getting new files/info :)

Man, I got tons of NES song MP3s. Some are remixes, while others are straight rips/captures. Uhhh... none are originals of my own. I just collected them by combing the net, napster, etc.

I would prefer to see the page mainly dedicated to NSFs and other music that relies directly on NES hardware. It sounds better that way ;-)

Still, Minibosses is too fucking cool for words. Their rendition of Contra is ... *fap* *fap* *fap* *fap* *fap* *squirt*
