SubjectX112F.exe doesn't work new

I got all the tracking done and when I go to run the x.bat file, a message is returned with out of memory.

After I checked on the site, I said to enable compatibility mode for 98/ME... I did that for every EXE I could find in the NT2 directory and it still is doing it. I took the stuff downstairs and it works on the Windows 98 computer, but that was more a hassle to plug in zip drives and whatnot.

Am I missing something or is this simply not going to work with XP?

Hmm, I think I remember someone telling me that x816 doesn't work on newer OS's. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do to fix it.

Unless someone else has modified the reply code to compile with another assembler, but I don't think anyone has. Looks like you'll have to use the other computer for compiling NSFs (or boot and run from a win98 floppy disk, but that's not very fun).

Oh! Oops! I actually got lost on that part while typing up the solution... >_<;;

For the MAKEDTT.EXE file's properties, turn every memory option to "Auto" (specifically, switch EMS & XMS).

I just realized compatibility mode doesn't matter. :P

The whole NT2 package should work nicely by then (for the record, I do all my NT2 composing now in XP, using SB emulation drivers =) )

You could also copy the replay code from an already assembled NSF, and copy the temp.dat files in. The 16-bit adresses that points to the offset for each song should start at offset $C40.
