I tried a few Battletoads NSFs but the drum sample didn't play during the title. I looked at an APU register dump and didn't see any writes to the DMC register. I tried it on a few players and none played the drum sample. Am I missing something (other than the drum)? I can't remember if there were any other samples in the game music. I have a feeling there weren't, since samples were used for sound effects (the sound effects had a real kick to them).
