SubjectExpansion chips.

I(and blargg) require some sound samples recorded off Famicom games that use expansion sound chips, to get the volumes of the different sound channels in relation to the internal sound channels, at least as close as possible.

AIFF/WAV 16-bit PCM, mono format is strongly preferred, but if you have a slow connection and still want to help, anything(8-bit PCM, ogg vorbis, mp3) is better than nothing.

I will have to only accept recordings taken off a genuine Famicom, and not a clone. Recording off the AV Famicom is OK, even though I don't know if the volumes would differ significantly from a "classic" Famicom. If you manage to record off a "classic" Famicom, and know the revision of your CPU, it wouldn't hurt to submit that too.

At least 15 seconds of recording would be nice.

Games whose recordings would be useful include(grouped into sound chip groups):

VRC6:
Akumajou Densetsu - "Enter your name" screen; be sure to get the laughing
Esper Dream 2 - Name entry screen
Madara - Normal battle.

VRC7:
Lagrange Point - Introduction(be certain to include a sample with the drums in it)

Sunsoft ?:
Gimmick! - Introduction

Namco 106(?):
Digital Devil Story 2 - Name entry screen
Erika to Satoru no Yume Bouken - Title screen
Final Lap - "Match Race" setup screen
King of Kings(not the Wisdom Tree game) - Title screen(press up and down a few times on the controller to get the sound effect of the moving cursor)
Mappy Kids - Map screen
Rolling Thunder(Famicom version!) - Game playing
Sangokushi 2(Namco, not Koei) - Intro through title screen.

I have received Digital Devil Story 2 recordings a while back, but I lost them. D'oh.

Memblers: Would you be able to host them, and have them available more permanently than I would be able to?

I can receive the files as attachments via email: xodsdl at starmen dot net
If you need to use other means of transporting files, reply here, and I'll arrange it.

One simple question, what difference does it make if the tracks are recorded from a Famicom clone?

The five internal channels of Famicom clones may not have the same volumes relative to the external channels that the Famicom and AV Famicom have.
