Using the new nesparallel technology :),
I would imagine it's possible to circumvent the whole midi spheal using a vst plug coded to access the parallel port directly, this way I would imagine a better clock responce than midi, and all the midi handling could be managed in an external sequencer - well as long as the hoast app was not taxing the system causing the link to error out

might be worth taking a look at cutting midi out of the picture with this awesome adaptor you've been working on with sepi
