I'd have tested my FF2j-e work on a real console had there been any viable and simple documents out there explaining how to swap out a PRG and CHR PROM with an EEPROM).

AFAIK -- and please chime in if I'm wrong -- there _still_ isn't any documentation out there which describes the proper modification procedure (PROM-to-EEPROM) for different cart models and the like.

If something like this was available, I'd probably get back into doing NES stuff, not to mention fix up a lot of my old and broken code...
