I know this is a NES forum but still...

I'm thinking of building a SNES cartridge, and I wonder if the SNES uses any memory mappers like the NES does? (MMC1, MMC2,...).

I know there are special cart with SuperFX-chip and other "special" carts...

Could I just take a SNES-rom and burn it to a EEPROM or am I missing something?
Any header I should delete or such things...
