"I wish people would just stop trying to jump on the damned "development bandwagon" and do something for themselves. The NES development community is only alive because of bloody emulators, which is pathetic beyond belief. The SNES development community died in late 1994, and has remained dead since."
Who died and made you absolute ruler of snes dev scene? If people want to jump on the snes/nes developement badnwagon, then so be it, its not your business. Snes dev is not dead, the reason why there isnt any new snes emulators being worked on is because the zsnes team has created the better of the snes emulators out there, if someone were to make one of their own, they would quickly be stomped on by the superiority of zsnes, so they don't bother. I have great respect for the zsnes team and what they are trying to do with their snes emulator, it's far from pathetic. They have all the major stuff done, just except they are finalizing some game and sound bugs, and they are almost done with the first set of DSP games. The only major thing they have left to do is figuring out the SDD-1 compression, which they are getting nearer to as everyday passes, it's not impossible. And as long as there's still people out there trying to actively update emulators and roms its not dead, slow, but not dead, just cuz they dont have websites up or updated doesn't necesarily mean they dont do it anymore.
