So that means the section of the ROM that contains the RESET vector and initilaization code can never be "swapped out" by the mapper? I see ... that makes things much easier.
I'm sorry if some of my questions sounds ignorant ... it's because I don't know anything specific about the NES. I've only done work with the SNES.
But, with other projects I'm working on ... it would be nice to know how to set the "power on" state of a CPLD. I have a feeling its possible (or that there's a good trick for doing it). I guess it's off topic now, but if anyone knows ... please pass any info my way. Thanks.
