SubjectFamicom Power Supply Danger

I have a Famicom AV. In Japan their mains seem to be a little weaker than in the US, putting out 100-110VAC compared to our 110-120VAC. I am using a Radio Shack Power Supply suitable for the SNES, 10VDC, 850mA, which has the same DC power requirements as the Famicom. By using this powersupply without any type of converter, am I appreciably reducing the life of my console? After all, the Famicom AV gets hot after a good gaming session.
