tUME Quick Start Notes 

INSTALLATION 

Unzip tUMEEXE.ZIP into a directory such as C:\TUME. 
[Optional step]. Create a shortcut to C:\TUME\TUME.EXE. 

The file SAMPLES.ZIP contains sample files; you should unzip it into 
the \tUME directory. The file tUMETOOL.ZIP contains utilities 
programs; you should unzip it into the \tUME directory as well. 

You're done. 

GUIDED TOUR 

TUMEDEMO.ZIP contains a guided tour. Unzip to a folder (e.g., 
C:\tUMEDemo) using the "Use Folder Names" option. Run the batch 
file DEMO2.BAT for the short demo, or DEMO1.BAT for a longer demo. 

HELPFUL HINTS 

1. There are five ways to load ILBM tileset pictures into tUME. Until 
you read the section in the manual about loading tilesets, ignore the 
other four tile loading methods and use Tiles|Load...|All Tiled. 

2. There are three ways to save a tUME project. Until you read the 
section in the manual about saving projects, ignore the other two 
project saving methods and use Project|Save...|Save+TMGC. 

3. If you plan to use tP16, then you don't need to manually remove 
duplicate tiles (tiles that are exactly the same, pixel-for-pixel) 
from your source tilesets; tP16 will do it for you.
